Peng, Funa: Democratic politics is good for the operation of Chinese anti-corruption
彭福娜(Peng, Funa)
China is an autocratic country with its dated politics and people’s low level of life, so it is the normal phenomenon that some people don’t care for the politics. However, in democratic countries with its economics advanced, if someone discounts the politics, they will be regarded to have irresponsible attitude. China is governed dictatorially by Chinese Communist Party, and people have disgusted politics for a long time. There is no limit of the power of officials, and state apparatus have become the tools of a few people, who are the main representatives of Chinese officials’ serious corruption.
With Chinese economics developing fast, governmental authority and national resources have been monopolized by officials, and it causes Chinese society corrupt in the round. At present, Chinese people disregard corruption, but it doesn’t mean they approve corruption. On the contrary, the reasons why people disregard corruption is that CDP’s automatic political system limit people’s anti-corruption movements and reduce the people’s enthusiasm of anti-corruption.
Whether Chinese anti-corruption succeed or not, and the key point is whether people can participate in anti-corruption to expose officials’ corruption or not. People should transport their positivity fully on Chinese governmental anti-corruption operation. Government and people make a dialogue about anti-corruption. The democratic political reform should be operated at the same time, and this can set a good stage for anti-corruption.
