Tian, Hong: The Chinese Government Must Make Contributions to Environmental Protection
田宏(Tian,Hong)
It is a high price to pay for China’s economic growth. Due to the large-scale industrial pollution, the environment in China is continually deteriorating. However, the Chinese government shifts off responsibility through many different excuses, for example, the government argues that the environmental pollution is a global problem existing in many countries, thus it is an unavoidable problem to China.
The Chinese government should correctly face the problem of the deteriorating ecological environment caused by the environmental pollution. The environmental pollution leads to a series of disastrous consequences: glacial recession; the lessening water flow of rivers; a decrease in the area of lakes, grasslands, and wetlands; the growing area of desert; a sharp reduction in the amount of animals, massive industrial and domestic refuse.
As for the severe problem of environment pollution, the Chinese government should bear the prime responsibility. The deteriorating environment not only threats our human beings’ health, but also affects our posterity’s life. As a super country having a vast population and constantly developing economy, the Chinese government must make contributions to environmental protection.
