Peng, Shukun: Let the Chinese People to Elect Their Government and Officials

The current China needs a democratically elected government the most. Though the country’s economy has developed, its political system has not been reformed, particularly its electoral system. The Chinese people have no right to vote. As the government in China, they should allow people to participate in politics, and allow people to participate in the election of government and government officials. They should form a democratically elected government as soon as possible. Only under such a government, can Chinese society have peace and prosperity, can people enjoy prosperity and tranquility.
China has to learn from America’s democratic and free system. In this country with freedom, every citizen has right to vote. From city councilman, mayor to state councilman, state governors, to members of Congress and the president, all are elected by the number of citizens’ votes.
We want China to carry out democratic reforms, implement democratic elections. The government and its officials must be decided by the number of voters, so that all officials can be fully monitored by the public, so that people can fulfill their civic rights and obligations.
